Yukon River Keta salmon are also known by the names Pacific salmon or Silverbright salmon. Yukon River Keta have a different nutritional profile from any other Keta found in Alaska. Because of their 2,300 mile migration, they have the highest levels of Omega-3 fatty acids of any fish found in the USDA database (up to two to four times more!). Coupled with the high amount of protein per 100 grams of fish, these particular Keta salmon are some of the best sources of nutrition in the world. Yukon River Keta are a mild, light tasting salmon. They are perfect for the grill, oven, deep frying, or smoking. Just like with any other salmon, it is important to not overcook the fish.
