A simple first dinner from your seafood box
Wild Alaska salmon bakes straight from the freezer with a few pantry staples, then gets finished with a bright lemon-butter sauce. Pair it with roasted potatoes, rice, or a favorite green vegetable for a nourishing family dinner that feels special without making a busy evening complicated.
What You’ll Need
- 4 frozen wild Alaska salmon portions, about 7-9 oz each
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary, or 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 5 tablespoons butter
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
How to Make It
- Heat the oven to 400°F. Lightly oil a baking dish large enough to hold the salmon in a single layer.
- Rinse the frozen salmon portions briefly under cold water and pat dry. Place them in the prepared dish.
- Stir together the olive oil, paprika, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Brush over both sides of the salmon.
- Bake for 20–30 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- While the salmon bakes, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in lemon juice and parsley; season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the warm lemon-butter sauce over the salmon and serve right away.
PPF serving idea: Add roasted potatoes and a simple green vegetable for an easy, complete meal.
