Here's a simple and delicious recipe that really allows our 100% grass-fed center cut sirloin steak and butter to shine:
**Grass-Fed Sirloin Steak with Garlic Herb Butter**
**Ingredients:**
- 2 (8-ounce) 100% grass-fed center cut sirloin steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons 100% grass-fed butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped herbs (parsley, thyme, and rosemary work well)
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
**Instructions:**
1. Remove the steaks from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking and allow them to come to room temperature. This will help ensure even cooking.
2. In the meantime, prepare your garlic herb butter. In a small bowl, mix together the softened grass-fed butter, minced garlic, and fresh chopped herbs until well combined. Set aside.
3. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
4. Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
5. Once the grill or pan is hot, add the steaks. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired level of doneness.
6. During the last minute of cooking, add half of the garlic herb butter on top of each steak, allowing it to melt and infuse into the meat.
7. Remove the steaks from the grill or pan and let them rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, ensuring a juicy result.
8. Serve the steaks with any remaining garlic herb butter on the side. Add a squeeze of lemon for a bit of freshness, if desired.
9. Enjoy your flavorful and succulent 100% grass-fed center cut sirloin steak!
Remember, because grass-fed beef is generally leaner than grain-fed, it can cook a bit quicker and could turn out tough if overcooked. Keep a close eye on it, and use a meat thermometer if you have one for best results. The USDA recommends cooking steaks to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and then allowing a rest time of 3 minutes.
